Our treatments are designed to target unwanted blood vessels at different depths within the skin while supporting overall skin clarity and a more even complexion.
Whether you are experiencing rosacea-related redness, broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks, visible facial veins, cherry angiomas, venous lakes or vascular damage following inflammation, we can create a personalised treatment plan to help restore calmer, clearer-looking skin.
Our Vascular Treatment Technologies
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
IPL is highly effective for treating superficial vascular and pigmentation concerns, including:
Persistent facial redness
Rosacea-related redness
Fine red thread veins
Broken capillaries
Sun damage
Uneven skin tone
Post-inflammatory pigmentation
Enlarged pores and skin texture concerns
How IPL Works
IPL delivers pulses of light energy that are absorbed by haemoglobin within blood vessels and melanin within pigmentation. This selective heating causes unwanted vessels and pigmentation to break down naturally while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed.
The treatment also stimulates collagen production, helping to improve skin texture, firmness and overall radiance.
Best Suited For
Mild to moderate redness
Diffuse facial flushing
Fine thread veins
Sun-damaged skin
Pigmentation concerns
Clients seeking brighter, more even-toned skin
Nd:YAG Vascular Laser
The Nd:YAG laser penetrates deeper into the skin than IPL, making it ideal for treating larger, more established vascular lesions and deeper blood vessels.
Commonly Treated Conditions
Larger facial veins
Broken capillaries
Blue, red and purple visible vessels
Cherry angiomas
Venous lakes
Persistent vascular lesions
Reticular veins on the legs
How Nd:YAG Works
The laser energy is selectively absorbed by blood within the vessel. The heat causes the vessel walls to collapse and seal, allowing the body to naturally reabsorb the treated vessel over time.
Best Suited For
Deeper facial veins
Stubborn broken capillaries
Cherry angiomas
Venous lakes
Vascular lesions resistant to other treatments
Visible veins on the face and body

FAQs
-
We use the medical-grade Cutera Xeo+ platform, which includes IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and Nd:YAG laser technologies. These allow us to treat both superficial and deeper vascular concerns safely and effectively.
-
IPL is best suited for surface-level concerns such as diffuse redness, rosacea and fine capillaries. Nd:YAG laser penetrates deeper into the skin and is more effective for larger or more established veins, cherry angiomas and deeper vascular lesions.
-
Yes, IPL is commonly used to help reduce redness and visible capillaries associated with rosacea. While it does not cure rosacea, it can significantly improve the appearance of redness and flushing.
-
Most clients describe the sensation as a warm snapping or mild tingling feeling on the skin. Discomfort is generally minimal and cooling methods are used throughout treatment to enhance comfort.
-
There is usually very little downtime. You may experience mild redness or slight swelling immediately after treatment, which typically settles within a few hours. Most clients return to normal activities straight away.
-
A course of 1–3 treatments is typically recommended, spaced around 4–6 weeks apart. The exact number will depend on the type, depth and severity of the vascular concern being treated.
-
Some clients notice an improvement after their first session, with continued improvement over the following weeks as treated vessels are naturally reabsorbed by the body.
-
Treated vessels are permanently removed; however, new vascular concerns can develop over time due to factors such as sun exposure, genetics, hormones or skin conditions. Maintenance treatments may be recommended.
-
Most skin types can be treated safely, but suitability will always be assessed during a consultation and patch test to ensure the most appropriate settings are used for your skin. Darker skins may not be suitable for vein treatment.
